Josh Peters, Owner and Operator

Back in 1994, with his best friend Chuck, Josh started DJ'ing.  With 2 home CD players, some large home speakers, and one set of Yamaha Professional series speakers, they cranked out the music at Cambridge Bowl for the first Rock'n'Bowl.  After that it was all history, every opportunity Josh had he was dragging his gear around and DJing.  He even took the opportunity to work with the DJ's at the Brunswick Bowling Center in Glendale Heights Illinois when he was in Tech School.

After tech school those that knew of his DJ'ing abilities would reach out to him and he would do a few weddings a year.  In 2006, Josh decided to make a much larger push to use his skills.  Since then he has DJ'ed close to 1000 weddings, hundreds of Bar gigs with The Rowdy Cowboy Show, and even had the opportunity to DJ on the Redbull Stage at WeFest.

In January of 2017 Josh destroyed his shoulder at his day job.  After surgery, he found he didn't have full range of motion with his right arm.  Losing most of the range over head.  Since he had free time, he started fishing more avidly.  It was at this time he found he could no longer cast with his right arm, as he had since he was young.  That didn't stop him, he learned to cast with his left arm and continued fishing, mostly from shore around small ponds and lakes near where he lived.  It was during this time that he broke two 7' rods while casting.  He found that the tips were getting broken off due to hitting branches.  A 6'6" rod would be perfect.  At the time quality rods in this length were very expensive.  While looking into repairing the broken rods he found how to build them from scratch.

It was an easy decision to start building rods, and he found he really enjoyed it.  This was a gateway to building rods for other people.  The creativity that people enjoy with a custom rod, and the knowledge to help people choose the right rod for their needs has been very enjoyable.
